After a weekend of celebrating and fun, it's unfortunately time to say goodbye to our Bajans.

Everybody at the club grew to love them over the last 6 moths, but today, they leave us.

Ayanna leaves us with the Ladies 1st team already promoted, whilst Javier and Kanye leave us with the Mens 1st team only needing a point from their last 2 games - which shows just how much of an impact they've had on their respective teams.

A message from chairman, Neil Thompson:

"Dear all, I wanted to share with you the photos of our favourite Bajans arriving at Heathrow this morning. I’m sure you’d all agree that they have been an absolute pleasure to have and have added a lot both hockey wise and socially. Thank you all for making them feel so welcome and thanks to the Batchelor’s for looking after Ayanna so well and having them all for Christmas lunch. I know they have really enjoyed being here and being part of the OWHC family."

I think we can all agree that they've been an absolute pleasure to have at the club, we wish them all the best for the future and hope to cross paths with them again one day."

They were also kind enough to leave us with these lovely words..

Ayanna Wilson:

"I wanted to take a moment to express my heartfelt gratitude for the incredible opportunity you have given me to be a part of the OWHC family. Playing for this club has been an absolute honor and privilege, and I am deeply appreciative of the trust and confidence you have shown in me.

From the moment I joined, everyone within the club has gone above and beyond to make me feel welcomed and supported. The warm reception and genuine hospitality have truly made a difference in helping me settle in and feel comfortable both on and off the field.

I am truly grateful for the efforts made by the coaching staff, management, my fellow teammates, and everyone involved in the club for their unwavering support and encouragement. It is evident that this club is not just about hockey but also about fostering a sense of camaraderie and belonging.

Thank you once again for this incredible opportunity."

Javier and Kanye Wharton:

"Hey, thank you for hosting us and giving us the opportunity to come over and play. It was honour to represent the club for the season as I tried to play with pride and uphold the dignity of the badge. In all it was a great experience and would highly recommend it."
