Old Williamsonians 5's 6 - 2 Burnt Ash 7's
After a drubbing last week by Sutton Valence 1st team!, OWs went into the game with Dean Harvey (sprained ankle) and Alistair Gilham (side strain) struggling for fitness. Ow's found their scoring boots early on. With a clanging of sticks, Dean Harvey forced in a shot whilst the ball bounced around in the Burnt Ash defence. A second soon came when Harvey found O'Shea with a neat pass round the corner for young O'Shea to score his first OW goal with a smart finish (reverse stick for good measure I think!). Burnt Ash pulled one back, before Lewis Harvey and Kallum McIntyre combined for a great move down the right, with some slick passing. Hilton showed some experience by pouncing on a weak shot from O'Shea to finish past the keeper. Mick also scored a second after O'Shea had also bagged his second from a similar position to his first. Andy Routledge earned a man of the match vote and divot vote for his aggressive tackling which was clearly annoying the opposition and the home team, however managed to stay on the pitch. At some point during the second half Burnt Ash got a second goal. Highlight of the game was Baldwin's exclamation of "I got a foot, Dave!" to earn a short corner. Man of the Match = Jamie O'Shea
