Whilst sport relief is usually in March, the Math’s school continue their fundraising efforts throughout the year. This year they have asked the hockey section to participate in a reunion fundraising day for Sport Relief on Sunday 24th June.
We are planning on hosting a mixed 6 aside tournament aimed at current members, ex-players and students. Anyone aged 13 or over is welcome to participate and it’ll be a good opportunity for a summer get together and to invite potential new members or those who have lost contact with the club.
The plan is as follows:
Junior Hockey Session from 10am to 11:30am. Neil and Jeff are always looking for help with these sessions, so please come along and lend some support.
***Update*** - 6 aside hockey registration from 10:30am. With the games starting at 11:30am. Just turn up on the day to play and we will arrange the teams when we have final numbers.
Please invite anyone who has a connection with the school or the club and make sure you bring along someone new if you can.
This early start will give us time break for the England World Cup game. If you are not a die hard fan, who fancies watching England struggle to a 0-0 draw, you can still watch the Rugby or Cricket or continue having a knockabout on the pitch.
£5 minimum donation (feel free to donate more) which will all go to the schools fundraising efforts.
At this stage our understanding is that the school will be putting on food in clubhouse. The day will be shared with cricket and rugby and so there should be a really good atmosphere at the club. Please make every effort to attend and we hope to see as many of you there as possible!
