On Sunday 25 February, Old Williamsonian Hockey Club (OWHC) hosted a FREE “Training Masterclass” for more than 70 young and aspiring hockey enthusiasts at Sir Joseph Williamson’s Mathematical School.

In partnership with one of our sponsors, Affinity Eco Clean, OWHC was delighted to welcome professional players; Ellie Watton, England and Great Britain International and Ben Boon, England Indoor International, to lead this successful and extremely popular masterclass which was available to anyone aged 5 – 22; this session proved to be a fantastic opportunity for all OWHC junior members, pupils of the school and children in the local area.

Neil Thompson – Chairman, OWHC commented: “On behalf of everyone who attended, I would like to say a huge thank you to Ellie and Ben for their enthusiasm and delivering an expert performance led session. As a club, OWHC prides itself on offering FREE hockey to all members under the age of 16 and we are delighted with the development of our junior programme.”
